Bio:
Boomer Brown is in his 33rd year of coaching, bringing decades of experience, passion, and success to the field. Early in his career, football was his primary focus. As a longtime defensive coordinator, Boomer contributed to numerous district championships and playoff appearances across Arkansas and Louisiana. A standout highlight of his football tenure was being part of three state championship teams at Nashville High School.
Over time, softball became Boomer’s primary sport, and under his leadership, Nashville has developed into one of the most consistent softball programs in Arkansas. Since the transition to fastpitch in 2000, the Scrapperettes have missed the state tournament only twice (2000 and 2006). The program has captured state titles in 2010, 2012, and 2013, and finished as state runner-up in 2017 and 2022.
Boomer transitioned fully to coaching softball in 2021. Since then, he has led the Scrapperettes to three regional championships and four consecutive state tournament appearances, advancing to at least the quarterfinals each year.
A native of Hope, Arkansas, and a graduate of Southern Arkansas University, Boomer now lives in Arkadelphia with his wife, Annette, who works for the Magnet Cove School District. Their daughter, Hailey, is currently in sixth grade at Magnet Cove. Boomer remains committed to developing athletes, building strong programs, and making a lasting impact on the lives of his players.
