Heidi Cox is entering her 23rd year in education and brings a wealth of experience and passion to her roles as the head softball coach and head girls’ golf coach at Benton High School. She also proudly serves as the Central Arkansas Representative for the Arkansas High School Fastpitch Coaches Association (AHSFCA).

Throughout her career, Heidi has coached at Arkansas High School and Texas High School in Texarkana before settling in at Benton, where she is now beginning her 14th year. Her coaching background includes softball, golf, and volleyball, and her impact across all three sports is evident in her impressive list of accomplishments. Heidi has guided teams to five state championships and two state runner-up finishes in softball, as well as two state titles and one runner-up finish in volleyball.

A proud graduate of Arkansas High School in Texarkana, Heidi continued her academic and athletic career at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, where she played softball under the legendary Coach Alvy Early. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree from UAM.

Off the field, Heidi’s greatest joy is her family. She and her husband Jason, her partner of 18 years, are the proud parents of three boys—Remington, Ryder, and Ranger. In her free time, she enjoys fishing, kayaking, flea markets, family vacations, and making memories with loved ones.

Heidi is known not only for her coaching success, but also for the energy, dedication, and heart she brings to her teams, her school, and her community.
